Boat of Garten is a traditional highland village set on the edge of the stunning Cairngorm mountains. It is located 6 miles NE of Aviemore, 30 miles from Inverness and 14 miles from the Cairngorm mountains. It has many fine walks and trails, an 18 hole golf-course and tennis courts. Fishing permits are available locally for fishing trout and salmon on the famous river Spey.
